She misses him so much, she doesn’t know what to do.
As days pass by and nights stretch long, she wonders if she’ll make through!
This phase of waiting, watching and hoping seems too long,
Is there something, anything that will help her feel less forlorn?
Loneliness knocks in the nooks and corners of her sometimes, boring days.
“It’s strange!” she thinks, “Love can find its way through my mind, in a million different ways!”
Love knocks as a memory of the last time they’d hugged,
At the end of their quick meeting, the coffee gone cold in the mug!
Love reminds in his caring message as he wishes her “Good morning!”
As she hastens through the day, his words cozy and heartwarming.
Love accompanies her at the breakfast table as she remembers the last meal they shared,
“When will I meet you, my dear?” she wonders aloud, suddenly scared.
“Did he sleep? Is he fine?” the million thoughts race through her mind,
“Oh how terrible, terrible is our fate, so harsh and unkind!”
She waits for his messages and calls, patience ever dwindling,
Anger, disguised as frustration, often overflowing.
As she courses through her day, her mind does occasionally sway,
“How do I deal with this? How do I let I him know how much I dearly miss?”
“His eyes as they see me, look at me, with love and trust,
His hands as they hold, steady and gentle, shield me from so much unjust”
“His voice, the passionate balm on my million wounds,
Pure healing music, magic that courses through me profound.”
“When, where and how shall we next meet?
Hold each other in the embrace that promises to greet?”
His unexpected message smiles through their chat ,
“On my way to see you soon, how do you like that?”
The heart that just stopped beating, the smile that just wouldn’t stop,
“I’ll do anything for this moment!” her mind on a new gallop.
She dresses with care and attention, all smiles and blush,
She adorns herself with joy and warmth, hope and love in flush.
With bated breath she holds herself, pretending calm and steady,
For the man she misses all day, she waits, eager, excited and ready.
