Dr. Ishan hadn’t always been mad. Once, he was a leading neuroscientist at India’s top AI research institute. Brilliant. Reclusive. Obsessed with patterns in human disobedience. His downfall began the day his daughter, Riya, died in a protest—crushed in a riot he believed never should’ve happened. No one listened. No one obeyed.
“They don’t know what they want,” he had whispered at her funeral. “So I’ll decide for them.”
He vanished for years. Off the grid. Funded by shadow-state investors. He built the LUNA Lab—an underground dome laced with signal amplifiers, neural mapping tech, and quantum AI cores. He studied the visual cortex. Found how emotional memory imprints could be rewritten—if triggered during peak time.
Then came the breakthrough: the Neural Echo.
It started with light patterns—then evolved. He discovered the moon’s reflection, filtered through human pupils, could bypass cognitive resistance if paired with a face already “converted.” He called it The Gaze Loop. The moon was the key.
He didn’t want power for greed. He wanted stillness. Order. “A world without choices is a world without pain,” he told his assistant.
He grinned at the screen showing the boy's face, confused, his phone glowing.
“Tonight, another will join. The chain never breaks. The moon is just a myth now. The eyes—they carry the light.”
