They never believed him.
He was small, quiet, and always lying around.
“You think you’re a superhero?” the big one laughed.
But today was different. The ground shook. Loud bangs came from outside. Everyone got scared. “Scatterer are back!” someone shouted.
He came forward.
“You’re going to fight them?” mocked the heavy one. “With what? Your personality?”
He said nothing. Just uncoiled. Slowly. Gracefully.
He flung himself forward, stretching across the room like a slingshot from the gods. With a violent SNAP, thunder cracked through the chamber. One Scatterer flew across and hit the wall.
Another one ran at him. He stretched again—further this time. The attack reversed. He dodged before it happened.
The third tried to run. Too late. He wrapped around it mid-air, tightening until lightning sparked from the friction.
And then—silence.
Everyone stared as he returned to the group, coiled and breathless.
“You bent time,” whispered one.
“You brought the thunder,” said another.
The silence lingered, until the ruler broke it.
“He’s not one of us,” he said softly.
“He’s what holds us all together.”
They looked again—not at a warrior. At a rubber band.
Now they knew: The pen, the ruler, and even the grumpy stapler— are living with a legend.
