#39 The Unfinished Love

"Rehana, it's been a decade, but I still feel your presence around me. Please come back, jaan. I am incomplete without you," whispered Major Tariq Ahmed of the Army, his eyes misty as he gazed at his wife's portrait.

Tariq’s love for Rehana was unwavering, and her absence left an unfillable void. He could never forget the fateful day when they were captured by enemy soldiers. After days of torment, Tariq woke from a deep slumber one morning to find himself in dense woods. But alas! There was no trace of his beloved.

Heartbroken, he desperately searched for Rehana, but she had vanished into thin air. The loss consumed him, yet he never stopped looking for her. He could never forget the fateful attack which had changed his destiny.

Unknownst to him,  "Rehana" was an identity of an undercover Indian RAW agent, Sumi, on a secret mission to Taliban and on her insist, Tariq was spared.

She fulfilled her duty, but in the process, she lost her heart to the very man she had deceived.
